Opening tournament Dec 2009

Day 1

The tournament has started.
The match has taken place between the Group A teams

GROUP A
1) Indois
2) Surs
3) Punjabi
4) Dreamed.
In the opening ceremony it was bright and a gorgous program and the anthem was sung from the singers from manumental.The equality and dream opened the tournament.
The tournament will be of 5 days.
All group teams play each other twice.The top two teams proceed to the quaterfinals.

The teams and delegations from all the countries sparkled across the brand new stadium located in a picturesque location in the nation of Indois.

Visible in the VIP enclosure were the members of the senate. The national delegations were greeted with smiles and waves from the founder, the prime minister and the WA delegate.

After a rousing performance by the ironweed project of the RFC's Anthem, regional cultural events were held highlighting the diversity of Undivided India.

The evening ended with a spectacular lights show using the latest in audio visual technology instead of the traditional firecrackers - this was done to highlight the Social Theme of the Event: Protecting the Environment.

I wanted some clarification on how the scores are generated

I can give u the formulae used in XML sheet based on ranking u recieved on the basis of your reputation.If u want I can give u thy formulae.Even I encourage next tournament on Jan 2009 any other member can do the sim.

Just wondering if the result could be random or something like that - does the reputation factor mean that the top 2 ppl in reputation will be the winners?

No not that it also take random number into consideration.

However the probability for winning is more for that team.I suppose u understand.

Group B @ 6:00 AM IST on 5/12/09. Standings table for group B will be generated by 3PM on 5/12.

I think letting reputation be such a major factor in determining a team's strength is unfair.. of course, I say this because my reputation is low, having just joined this forum a few days ago.. but my nation is among the higher rankings in this region in most relevant NS statistics.. but the tournament has begun and I'll accept the system uve put in place.. seems more complicated than my previous experience with a football league I ran in old India.. the team's strengths came from the talent of the players they acquired thru drafts and transfers.. scores were determined based on a team's line-up compared head-to-head against the opponent.. and every team played everyone else twice per season..

So Cubez can you tell the results for Group b

Punjabi as this is the first tournament so reputation has been considered.From next tournament many other criteria including ur finance level to keep reputated players will also be counted.Ok
